Dried Seahorses

If it is hot outside, you can dry them in the sun or place them somewhere in a warm location. Sorry for your loss.

you need to soak them in formaldehyde and then proceed to dry then...i kinda failed at drying a starfish once, lol, and this is what i was told that i should do next time...plus, you dont want something smelling like dead fish in your house...

We've dried several of our SH that have died over the years. It's pretty easy...lay it flat in a small dish, and sit the small dish in a larger dish/pan with some water in it to create an "ant moat" so it won't be eaten (they can't cross the water in the large dish). Sit the dish in the sun for a few days and check on it every couple of days. When the "top" surface of your SH seems dry, turn it over and let the sun hit the other side. You can flip it a couple of times if you like. Repeat till it's dry.
