Drill Bit Review

Hi All,

I am getting ready to drill my 120 gallon tank.

There seem to be many options and price points on the bits. I was was looking for peoples feedback on the specific bits they used before I purchase one.

Will the cheap bits on Amazon for instance be able to drill 3 holes before they wear out?

I will be using 1 1/2" bulkheads.

You mean Like This?

Probably fine for only a few holes. If you were drilling more Id say maybe spend a little more for a better bit, but just go slow and be careful and you should be ok.

Yes, or the one at Bulk Reef Supply. About the same cost.

I guess another related question would be weather schedule 80 bulkheads or needed or if ABS ones are fine?

ABS bulkheads work just fine. But if you use Sch 80 besure you get the right size bit, they require larger sizes.

I know that the Lowes near me has bits at x2 the cost
