Drilling a 20L, bottom

Can I drill the bottom of a 20L, Top Fin tank? I have heard that some bottoms are temperd and some aren't, just wondering about this brand. Tank was purchased at Petsmart, Tot Fin brand. Has anyone done it? Good or Bad?

tempered bottom im pretty sure...if you have a glass cutter like for stained glass run it across a small corner of bottom. If it scratches easily without applying pressure then its tempered. there is less surface tension in tempered glass so it scratches easier. an old guy in a glass shop showed me that
