Drilling a Bow Front Tank

I have a 46g fresh water bow front Ive been running for ever it seems. Ive been thinking about converting it to salt for a FOWLR tank. My concerns are;

1. This will be my first drill. (ive done lots of research)
2. How to safely drill a bow front without putting too much pressure on the viewing side during the process.
3. Ive treated for ich in this tank before, is this tank still useable for salt?

You will be fine drilling the flat back as long as it's not tempered glass.
I just drilled a 90 bow and had no problems. The BeanAnimal overflow setup is OH so quiet.

If you treated for ich with copper there is potential for problems. I bet it will be fine though.
Copper is an invertebrate killer and toxic to some fish. You could fill the tank and try out a few hermits I suppose.

I didnt use the tettra brand ich treatment I dont think its copper based.

And thanks for the input about the drilling. I was concerned because I didnt want to have the bow side holding the weight of the whole tank as I drill. Ill probably set it on a couch cushion or something.

The copper is only a problem if you have inverts since it will leach out of the silicone but you mentioned FOWLR so you will be fine. Copper is toxic to all fish at a certain point and ich, hence why it kills it. Drill the flat back like mentioned above, use plumbers puddy for water dam and a guide if you have one. Go slow and let the bit do the cutting
