Drilling a large tank

Want advice on drilling a standard size 265 gallon tank.All the manufactures I could reference do not use tempered glass on that size tank.What experience have other members had drilling large tanks.
 
All depends on your purpose, I would stick with good reliable bulkheads. I prefer Hayward 1-1/2" fully threaded - allows you to fix things later which glued joints don't.
As per the drilling side of things - use a plywood guide, keep track of how far you are through, because if it jams you chip bigtime. I prefer to drill from both sides, but it's very hard to line up
