Its a two part vid because I stoped to check hole and got a phone call. IF you have questions or need tips just let me know and I will be more than willing to help.

Oh and thats with a less than half charged battery you can stop anytime after the hole is started and you got a good grove to start back on, so it dont matter if the battery is fully charged or not.

What do you mean for the two bits juaninsac? I have drilled many tanks and always only used one 45 mm diamond hole bit for a drill.

Aren't they like $35 a piece? For the two hole saws he'll need he can buy a Dremel and the bits and cut any size/shape hole he likes.

I bought 4 bits and they didn't even cost me that much shipped. I'm sure if the tile cutting bit will work on using the cordless drill too. I don't know about your cordless drill but mine is pretty powerful ..

Oh, I didnt read that part, I thought he needed one hole.

I think the bulk heads are made the same. I looked at several sites and they all matched up the same.

(1.75" hole for a 1" bulkhead)

The difference gets bigger for the larger bulkheads.

i thought aquaium glass was tempart thus you couldnt drill it?

Im a little nieve and just got a 180g glass i wanted to put two over flows in any thought?

Many tanks have tempered bottoms that cannot be drilled. You should contact your aquarium manufaturer and find out if any of the panes are tempered. Do you know the brand name?

Juan I didnt check any plumbing supply places just aquarium places like big als and the two docs. good point though. Well I guess if you buy a bit just make sure you buy the right bulkhead for it.

The cheap brittle ones that are sold online and at LFSs...well I'll just say you get what you pay for IMHO. I've had them crack, I've had them not mate correctly with PVC threading, had them leak through the gasket, etc. Hayward industrial bulkheads and valves are what public aquariums use and they're just a bit more in cost. Super heavy duty. You'd have to hit them with a sledge hammer to break them.

HUH I didnt know that. I bought mine from big als and have no complaints. There thick strong and the plumbing go's together very nicely.
