Drip acclimating an anemone

yes, ph are deadly and anemones are smarter about suicide than any animal on earth in my opinion. I though I had my ph super proofed but my anemone had the last laugh as it became soup when I was on a weekend trip to boston. Seriously, I had that hagen so surrounded by that needlepoint mesh stuff that the anemone had to have pre-shreded itself before going though. Then thing was wrapped 3 times and over 2 inches from the intake! Goodluck with the anemone!

Clemson University here, started 7-1 and ranked 10th in the nation then went 9-7. Even the bowl was depressing not to mention the USC game. (*&%#!&^%) But hey, everyone is welcome to visit deathvalley!

:eek1: :eek2: :eek1: what kind of PH was it? how did it get sucked in through mesh AND inlet slits...?

Aquaclear 402 on the low setting and to this very day I still dont know the bugger did it. Like I said, there were two inches and three layers between the mesh and the AC strainer, I was the ugliest thing ever inside a tank! (next to LA hybrids) My best guess is that some how the anemone worked itself up the glass and placed it's foot over a part of the mesh.... then it had to have stayed their while the powerhead slowly sucked it through inside out. It was a beautiful GBTA and about 6-7 inches wide, had it for 4 months and my Clowns (and girlfriend) took to it right away too.

I never saw any significant piece of anemone while resucing the tank except for a small chunk in the ph.

Yeah well, I saw the most beautiful sebae at the LFS yesterday, it was from a local tank breakdown and was about as healthy as can be. Its a shame that my MJmod in 20L would rip it to neverland, I refrained... sob.
