Dripping Kalk Near Pumps

Hi All,
just wondering if there is a problem with build up on pumps if Kalkwasser is dripped too closely or near any pumps.

The Tank is a Red Sea Max and I am currently dripping kalk into the sump in the back. The skimmer and a pump for a chiller and two powerheads are located in the sump.

Amm: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
Alk: 8
Cal: 440
Ph 8.25
Phos: 0

Thanks

Yes, dripping too close to pumps can cause them to seize up over time from calcium build up in the impeller shaft if they are not cleaned frequently. I had this happen to a skimmer pump before. If you are going to do it just make sure you clean your pumps regularly (once a month would be good). I run my pumps in a bucket of warm water and white vinegar and this removes any buildup.
