Driver making squeal

I have a Tunze Stream. I think the model # is the 6000. It is run by a Turbelle driver 7240.27. Yesterday I heard a high pitch squeal coming out of the driver and noticed the Stream wasn't pushing any water. The lights on the single controller were all on and one was flickering. Any thoughts as to what is going on? Perhaps I need a new driver? What should I be checking or trying?

You should take the pump out and clean it thoroughly. Make sure you pay attention to the rear bushing for calcium deposit. The noise from your driver to let you know there is some type of malfunction on your pump I.E blockage or dirty...

Usually the alarm means the pump is jammed as Steve said, follow the cleaning thread at the top of the forum. It can also mean a drive unit part is broken, like a missing brake shoe or broken shaft. Or, the motor itself may have burned out. Usually if you have an alarm the driver works.
