Dropped a tiny piece of copper in my sump

Bent

I got nothin'
I was cutting some coax cable and I was trimming a piece of the core wire and the tiniest piece of wire flew somewhere. I looked but I didn't see it anywhere, but it's a needle in a haystack. If it ended up in the sump, is it going to hurt anything? It was tiny like 1/8" Long at the most.

run cuprisorb for the next couple months. copper is lethal to inverts, but, I wouldn't sweat it too much, since A: your not gonna find that piece of wire B: cuprisorb will work to bind the copper. C: unless you're gonna strip the tank see a and b.

Alrighty how long do I have to get it? I’ll have to get it off Amazon.

How do I use it?

Somehow, some way, I managed to see this out of the corner of my eye.

Lucky lucky lucky lucky.

Lol I just took the shop vac to it last week.

Grumpy crab is so big and aggressive now it makes working in the sump rather hazardous.

Holy ****... Shop vac....

You may have just changed my life. I'm such an idiot.:headwally:

Lol you don't know about the shop vac?

I'll do one better and mention the bucket head shop vac. It's cheap and snaps onto a standard 5 gallon bucket.

before you shop vac pump out as much water as you can...

first time i did the shop vac i thought "it will just suck it all out"

i had to empty the shop vac like 13 times before i got to actually "cleaning" and my water change pump was just sitting there thinking to itself "you idiot"

Yeah. My sump holds like 50 gallons after everything is turned off so it's a major water change if I clean the sump. Plus grump is very displeased about sitting out of the water and I have to fight him with the other end of vacc.

I've gone downstairs to find him touring the basement on more than one occasion. He's getting too big to handle actually.

Lemme look. He’s about the size of a softball now and he has a very bad attitude. I had no idea stone crabs were so aggressive. I actually get worried about the power cords down there. I’ve been tempted to put him in the refugium so he can’t get out and back in the sump at will. I think his claws might be eating size or close.

The bucket head shop vac is an essential piece of equipment  I just replaced mine after almost 5 years of yeoman service.

Lol yes, yes it is. They are surprisingly reliable for such a cheap piece of equipment.
