Dropping a pin...

I agree the information is more complete over here and more experienced reefers may be plugged in over here. But as far as posiing on this forum, well you are better off posting on the other forum. There is less rules and monitoring on the other forum. Therefor, come over here for the information base and post on the other forum. That is what I do.

people here are younger and have bad attitudes, Lots of bad info from people who don't know their you know what from their elbow. However the pros like Randy Farley are great
 
I have gotten good info here but just as often bad. Some people after reading one thread are experts and so on. So as great as the info is here you have to be careful with it. As far as rules go there is no comparison, the t side wins.
 
One of the things I often see here is "OPINIONS" masked as advise, "OPINIONS" coming off as fact. You just have to learn who's speaking from experience & who's speaking their opinion. Then there are those who chime in just to cut someone down or those who try to start an argument. Then there is a couple of folks have an opinion about everything. This may be my opinion, but IMO, I think it's more of an observation.
 
I have to stay with my original comments. Some people, even LFS owners have bad suggestions at times. You have to take it all with a grain of salt. I have been to the t-site and you have people that post every 2 seconds on everyones forum. just to post over and over. Same goes with the topics, much less usage over there and quite frankly much more misguided information that i have seen. Granted I am not ther anymore. The only thing is the local forums drive more opinions and less rules, way less rules, then here. That certianly does not make it better. Generally, there are the same LFS posting all the time. Most LFS dont bother posting. the postings go in so many diffrent directions with the jokes etc that you just get tired of looking at it. Its almost a soap opera with all the bikering and joking and playing around over there. Just My Opinion

LOL! That has to be the first time I have seen this site referred to as less of a soap opera than another. Not that I am defending the other site, but I just never thought I would read that statement.

I agree there is more information here; some good, some bad.

I for one am glad that everyone does not take this as serious as you do. If jokes are off limits you might as well go read a book. Granted things get out of hand sometimes, but for the most part it is interesting. But, what do I know I don't get to watch many soap operas on T.V. that i can compare this to.

Tanks coming along awesome.....thanks for asking.:D Everything is settled in nice.....Watching my new Blue Throat Trigger swimming around now........got everything going in the equipment room also...phyto cultures, rotifers, brines & another pod hatchery tank..besides the fuge.....everything is set and automated and basically trouble free....love it. Just hope these storms can hold out till I get my generator hooked up....
Dan (Goldstripe) came over with his digi and took some really nice shots...I posted a few on my THREAD . Hope to get some more shots soon......
Looking to have another BBQ soon........

I'm a hobbyist, who happens to own a LFS, posting as a hobbyist. Also a NFMAS member posting on the NFMAS forums

Yeah I understand all opinions. To me, it gets old when all the issues and jokes go about. Hey, if you like they, knock yourself out. Thats Why I stay here. Believe me, I love the hobby and like to share it with others. Nonetheless, I am beating a deadhorse. Its all the same people posting anyhow. Nuff said on my part.. enjoy:)

I love hearing someone tell me what I can't do. When it comes to giving advice, let your tanks do the talking.

If your tank looks like the backroom of Aquazoo I don't care if you have a PHD from seaworld, I'm not listening.
