Dry Rock "Marco Rock"

on ebay I'm came across Dry Rock, Tonga, price about $2.00 per/lb. Has anyone used dry rock successfully. All I read is live rock and curring process. How about dry rock and curring it? I talk to the people at Marco but I would feel better hearing from a fellow reefer.

dry/base rock is fine, and once seeded will become live rock. You can add base rock, and a few pieces of LR to seed, and cycle your tank that way. I plan on using 50# of base rock to build islands, and then 80# of LR on top. I haven't used their rock, but it looks nice. Also check out reefer rocks. you can have them cherry pick 50#, but it's about $2.50 a pound that way before shipping. The benefit of using dry rock is you can drill it and setup your pillars/islands before adding it to the tank. This way you can take your time setting up your aquascaping base.

Here's some pictures of Marco Rocks if interested; nice shapes for making overhangs, caves, etc. Very nice for seeding!

Diaze,
Did that come from Marco Rocks?

The pics don't look like any rock or packaging we use?

I have ordered directly from Marco Rocks and was VERY impressed with their product! The rock is very light and porous. Their website is www.MarcoRocks.com and I don't have any affiliation with them except as a satisfied customer.
