DSA NEO 105 Build

Lots of sweet looking tanks on here as of late and yours is one of them for sure. Looking good! What T5 combination are you using alongside the radiums?

3 ATI True Actinics, 1 ATI Purple Plus. The color is amazing in person, my phone just can't render the blue well.

Sitting here at work enjoying the white-out and viewing the tank remotely. About to let everyone go home so I can go play!

Warren built a nice low profile trim that went around his cube and attach the netting to it. I think it looks great plus it keeps your fish in

Pat that's not what I meant.... I think a mesh cover is absolutely necessary if you have a rimless tank and keep fish that are prone to jump..... I know I lost a ton of fish to jumping.... My next build will have a canopy......

Lol Mason, I was only busting on ya. Rimless to canopy huh? That's a big change. LEDs to T5s as well?

You have a beautiful tank, I don't think anything would diminish it! I have an open top too and was wondering if I should put something down. This may be a dumb question, but is there any concern over lost light?

Oh definitely. I spend a ton of money on wattage daily and want every bit of it to penetrate. Even the clarity of your water affects par to the coral. Things like salt on glass, screen tops, distance, and water quality all have an effect on light getting to the coral.

No I think I'm going to do a LED's with T5 combo. I'm leaning towards 3 Photon 16's and 2 T5 bulbs over each section of the 180 gallon tank... i've heard a lot of good things about the LED and T5 combo, plus I wanted to switch away from the Orphek light. i love the light it gives but the controllability is just not what I was looking for.....

The tank looks great! I usually dont like bare bottom tanks but yours looks awesome I love how clean it looks. Your fish and corals look amazing too.

Ya better for the bb guys. I knew I had no business having a coris lol. All is well and the mates are taking well to the new additions.
