I am getting ready to set up my first saltwater aquarium. I am getting some very conflicting information about DSBs. Are they worth it? How about plenums? The tank I built is 12" tall and am wondering if it is worth devoting 3 to 5" to the sand bed and plenum. Will this help at all with Nitrates? I have already built the plenum but I am not sure if I should use it. This has probably been gone over many times but the search function has not worked for me all night and I would like to start setting it up asap
