DSB vs. Bare Bottom

If I were you I would take a look around on RC instead of asking you will just start a big unnecessary debate. I have personally chosen to go bare bottom.

LOL. This is not a simple question to answer. You need to think about what kind of corals you want to keep, your exsisting equipment, etc.

for a BB tank, the general concensus is-

"cooked rock"
LOTS of flow
Powerful skimmer running "wet"

hth.

DSB vs. Bare Bottom

I have a 58g octagon coral tank. I am buying a new house and thought when I move I would add about 60lbs more live sand to my 80lbs I currently have. I have seen alot of conterversy against DSB or Bare Bottom. So, I would like to know which is chemically safer or (better) for the tank?

Thanks for everyones help.
