I would not add a dsb to any display tank--rather run it remotely from the tank like in a refugium. That way you can get the nitrogen reducing benefits but at the same time cleaning it and making sure it is "healthy" isn't as problematic as when it is in your display tank.
You can set up one very easily using a plastic tote, a seven inch sand bed and some plastic hose to circulate it back and forth from the display tank
