These were very helpful for me, just getting into starting to take pics of my tank with the DSLR. Thank you for making these!

Sam, have you played with filters for use with the blue leds that make the colors pop?

Hi Ron, I have played with filters, but to be honest I don't like the output they give. I much rather just adjust the color of the image in post processing or adjust the color of the light (where possible)

Video 4 is live!

Reef DSLR Photography series, Video 4 - Top Down Macros
Video four in the series, covers how to perform top down macro shots. Covers the basics like ensuring you have safe access to the top of your tank, right the way through to which settings to use and lens selection

Can't wait to check these out tomorrow when I get a chance! Just got a DSLR not too long ago and am waiting for the tank to stabilize out a little bit before taking pics

Now is the best time to get some shots so you can see how far you have come. This is one of my favorite pics for just that reason:

Sub for this so I can watch tonight when I get home.

I appreciate you taking the time to set this all up. My wife is the photographer but I cant get her to mess around my tank to save my life.

Thanks---Been looking for a 'quick' hands on tutorial by lightroom as I am getting ready to star cataloging my corals and hate filters.

Adobe Lightroom is a paid version right? I bought a Nikon but for hobby so i will like at the moment a free version for post processing.
