I have you noticed any growth difference between the T5 or LED at this point or is it still too soon to tell? AMAZING by the way!!

It is too soon to tell.
But so far LED seems to be better in terms of growth.

Obviously there is a lot of interest in the LED's compared to the T5's. Do you think the LED's will compare favourably with the T5's output?

Is the unit in the picture a 200 watt LED?

How would the cost compare in the long run.

Your macro shots are improving my friend.........are you using the 100?

I prefer LED than T5.
But this one is equal to 250w 10000K.
I will change to 20000K when there is upgrade kit available.
For the cost compare, refer to specification, LED will be cheaper in the long run.

I use Canon 180mm.

Nice frag tank. It seems though as the led setup has lighter/pastel colors compared to the t5. It seem to be that way with most if not all led setups i've seen.

For sponge I have heard some promising research with gelatin based foods. I can't remember the source, but I believe some european study. You may have to search the interweb for more info. I believe this thread in Reef Chemistry gets sidetracked on the topic about page 10 or so.

Softies tank:
one hour after display light turn off and 30 minutes after feeding DT'S oyster egg and phytoplankton.
Tank looks much better at night time.

Chingchai, is there any movement in the softies tank or does everything stay where it is put? It certainly looks spectacular!

Hey Ching, macro shots are great. Best for macro shooting is to turn off the system but I don't think that that can be an option in such a big system and especially when you are shooting SPS that doesn't move at all with water flow. Have you used a tripod? It will be very helpful to prevent blurry pics due to camera movement. I use tripod and self shooter or remote shutter.
