DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

Chingchai,
Each and every time you provide an update I tell myself this can't possibly get any better........and each and every time you manage to leave me speechless!!!!!!! This is such powerful artistry. You have raised the bar so high that I think we will need a very big crane to keep up.

Well done my friend.........very well done.

Peter

I just spent the whole evening reading this thread. Amazing and inspring just dont cut it.
Your attention to detail is awesome. Please keep it up.

I will add one Joculator from our club's tank.
The others are subject to be available but must be rare and reef-safe.

Ching - I think you need to add a Genicanthus Takauchii. Ultra rare and reef safe...also VERY VERY beautiful.

I cant wait to see it with fish again! Your tank is absolutely amazing...and gets better every day!

IME azooxanthellae corals do better in clean, clear water.

There is simply not enough food in clear aquarium water. Water on the average coral reef is full of bacteria (about a billion per liter) and phytoplankton. Zooplankters may also be quite abundant during the night.

A clear distinction between clean and particle-rich water must be made. A natural, ideal situation would be clean water (low dissolved nutrients, e.g. nitrate, phosphate, ammonia, urea) and high particle concentration (bacteria, protozoa, phyto- and zooplankton). This combination is of course not easily established, requiring a specialized approach.

Good luck with your system Chingchai!

Can you ID this coral? This is pretty spectacular in and of itself.

Just got back from BKK.
Corals there are amazing, I was under the impression that Mr.Ching is getting his corals special order only, but I found out the Thai reefers are enjoying highest quality corals from Indonesia and Aus.
Shops looks like if they were cherry picking!

Very cool!!!

I was happy to hear that the resplendens made it, good luck with it!

Chris. Thanks a lot for your recommendation.
That fish is so beautiful.
I don't think I can find it or afford it. But we'll see.
