DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

Absolutley stupendous Ching, Great work man. Iam very impressed with the design aspects of your tank. You mentioned a lady friend designed it. Does she do this for a living? Or just for giggles?

wizardson. Thanks.
I like the word "gigles".;)
But she does this for a living.

Chang...all I can say is your tank gets better and better! Not only is it the nicest reef I have seen, but you have an unreal list of fish in there.

The resplendet angel is AMAZING!!! I love the pop of the interruptus next to the Gemmatum.

Thank you for allowing us to continue to drool over the tank and it's inhabitents.

Soywaticup (spelling:)

Chris. Thank you.
But my name is Ching, not Chang.:twitch:

I'm so hooked to this thread. To see everything evolve is just incredible.

Does this last screen already include all of the fishes? If yes, I'd say you need a ton more fishes ;)

But I dont know if you are more into corals and dont want to have many fish. Would be pretty sad, though.

One of my other favourite tanks from switzerland has gone a bit over the top with his fishload, but the skimmers today can take a lot as long as the fish are happy.
I'm just attaching the pic to show how very nice schools of blue chromis and anthias add to the overall color of the tank (even if they technically dont really form a school).
I love all tangs just as much, but I think noticable schools add another dimension to replicate the ocean look. Probably a tiny bit too many fish in this one, but the amount would sure fit in your tank ;)

Another cool example for a chromis school is this pic, I believe the other school of fish in this pic are the ones you already have?

Breakerone. Thanks for reference pics.
Those two tanks are my inspiration as well.
Don't worry. I will definitely add more fishes.
But I don't want some common fishes. That's why I have to make a special order.

Chingchai,

When you first started this thread back in May, you posted a picture of Mr. Amano standing behind his tank, why not do that with your tank? I bet lots of reefers want to see who is the proud owner of this magnificent tank and it will be a good portrait for you to keep. I thank you for sharing this wonderful dream of yours.

Fishuntbike.

Fishuntbike. How can you read my mind?
I will post a replica picture when the tank gets more mature.

Chingchai,

Do you have moonlights?
Or you could put a low power red bulb in the room. It will let us look in on your tank when lights are out without anthing being disturbed!!.....

Thanks
Mo

Mo. I do have moonlights and I did switch on LED at night.
But sometimes my fish guy turn it off.:hammer:

OMG did I see some algae on the back glass????? J/K, tank is infreakingcredible, Ching!!!! I am glad to see that you are just a mere mortal, like the rest of us though!!

murfman. You have to see this. :eek1:
I still have lots of hair algae.

Chingchai,
Thank you, thank you, thank you.......

What a fabulous treat you have prepared for us. What a rich environment!!!! Thanks ever so much for going to the trouble.

Peter

Peter. I spent almost whole day just to upload this clip.
However, I am very pleased that I can do it for you guys.

Thanks, nice video and amazing pictures Ching. The tank looks CLASSIC with the new look.

Hope your angels are not nipping on the corals. How come you don't have a flame angel.Achilles tangs are rarity in DXB so are most of the stuff.

Haksar. Thanks.
These three Angels have been in my old tank for three year and they are very nice. No nipping at all.
The reasons I don't have Flame are:
- I don't think they are 100% reef safe
- They are too common

This is what I call attention to detail! I guess now it is just lay back and enjoy the view with a nice bottle of wine and some good cheese by those cool moving acrylic tables...:smokin:

You've got yourself another fan from Brazil man! Congrats on the most amazing build I ever seen!

Carlos. Thanks a lot.

Ching, this is my first post in your thread. Everything everybody else is saying is true, the most amazing tank in the forums, without a doubt. Thanks you very much for posting with so much detail and attention, I feel like a student with a great teacher.

I just wanted to add, those images in 3D studio from your tank and your sofa design... WOW! Simply amazing... I'm a big fan of yours...

Edit: I just saw your video. Again, simply AMAZING!!! Makes me wonder how much better it must look in person.

jmsilhy. Thank you for your kind words.

Where will it be in the current system? In the fuge I assume but where will that be in the system? Could you post a picture to show where it would be? I already have sand & crushed coral in my fuge how could I add it to my system? Will it make the system cycle again? I have a thread video of my tank if that helps. Of course it doesn't compare to your masterpiece!

Yes, it is in the refugium.
Pipe-Line_Sump-to-Refugium-1.jpg

For your system, you just take out sand & crushed coral from your fuge.
And replace with Miracle Mud. Let it settle for one night. That's it.

Fantastic!! Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us all. What you have accomplished here is truly amazing, and I look forward to watching this tank grow out.

One quick question - Is that a Gigas Clam in your tank?

DaGuru. Thanks.
No, it is not Gigas Clam.
I am looking for it but don't have yet.
