chingchai, I'm not sure if someone else already mentioned this but, wouldn't it be quite difficult to catch fish in your QT tank with all the decoration inside? Trying to catch a fish in that environment can on it's own trigger ich or something !!!
and also in case of any outbreak it will be quite hard job to clean all those decorations and the walls of the tank, but maybe I'm just being overcautious.
by the way main display tanks is simply amazing ...

I believe he said most of those decorations were removable. You definitely need somewhere for the fish to hide if you don't want to stress them out. I also have a feeling he is not intending on QTing 1fish at a time.

Ching - That's a very nice tank next to your QT tank. Did you stock it with coral from the large tank that you just replaced with the 1000 gal tank or did you grow those from frags in the small tank? Just how big is this "small" tank anyway? It's very impressive.

Chingchai, the photography on this update is your best work to date. The colour is also the best yet. Well done. I assume you continue to be impressed with the LED's???

Peter

Hi Ching, very nice for all your tank setting. But I am curious for the QT, which you may quite difficult to catch fish after Q. Will you isolate the fish by small container?

EDIT : Opps ! My bad, the survivors were the blue-eyed cardinal, Resplendent, and Mystery Wrasse :(

Wow! Just like a bunch of other people I spent the better part of an evening going through this thread. That is truly amazing. What wonderful dedication you have. It's amazing how your little softy tank is getting just as much attention as your main DT. The colors in your softy tank are really beautiful. Keep on chugging along, don't let the loss of fish get in your way. I'll for sure be tagging along with this thread :)

Well, here comes the worst part of my dream.
My tank got oodinium since last Monday.
The outbreak started from Black Tang to other fishes.

I used to have this experience in our fish tank club.
I think they all can made it just like last time. Maybe I am too optimistic or overconfident.

This time luck is not on my side.
I lost almost my old and new fishes.

Until today, those who can survive are:
Blue Eye Cardinal x 10
Resplendent Angelfish x 1
Mystery Wrasse x 1

Just like some of you guys' recommendation, I should QT my new fishes but I didn't.
So it is totally my fault.

He lost 1/2 the ventralis shortly after adding them, and then, as you can see from above, he lost almosts everything else thereafter. The only fish that I have read that has survived is the resplendent angel.
