DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

Chingchai, are you going to look at the coral shipment when it comes in????Will you take any pictures like last time??? I haven't seen anything in Toronto even close to the quality and size of product that you have access to. I am about to start my build but I can't imagine how to get the same terrific start you did as we just don't seem to have access to good size product. I have so much to learn.

Peter

Yes, I always want to be the first to look at coral shipment. It always makes me excited to see them.:)

Here are pics of this shipment.

Looking at the coral shipment, I would be like a fat man at a buffet!

What procedures do you go through when introducing new corals?

Hi chingchai, thanks again for letting me visit earlier this month. I am at a loss of words when it comes to the attention to detail that went into the system! Only 10 months in and the system looks like its been up for years.

Hope to see you again in bkk soon!

If I walked into a store here in cali and it looked like that I would just fall to the floor and weep like a new born baby.My wife, kids, and dog would all leave me because I would never have a cent to my name and I would be "PLUM CRAZY" !!!
No really I would!

Chingchai, thank you for the pictures of the LFS coral. I assume this is where you get the majority of product for your tank. What is the feasability of getting product shipped to North America. Apart from cost, is it a case of not being able to get healthy coral to survive the trip?

Peter

wow those corals are amazing, I wish I had access to corals like that, if you dont mind me asking approximately what do most of these pieces cost in USD? because here they would be fragged up emmediatly and the lfs's try to get get $100-$250 out of each coral it really is kinda sad. why cant they just be happy with a %200 markup instead of 1000%:uzi: ok Im done with my rant

Ching,
Great Pics. Love the closeups.
That coral shipment is just insane...
So is the tank nearly full now or is there still place for some more?

Yes, most of my corals coming from this shop.
I think they can survive to Canada depending on how they are being packed.

The price range is between US$60-150.
But what you have to concern is we are closer to Indonesia than you.
So shipping cost and risk is lower.

Great looking corals Ching. Can't remember seeing this shop bceuase all of the shops had great corals and fishes last time when I was there. Is this next to Siam Reef club shop and Wold Wide Reef.

Are those harvested straight from the reef? How are the regulations regarding harvesting? Those are unbelievable pieces!
