I will leave them at my LFS for one month or so.

Hello Chingchai,

Another fantastic fish choice in the Rollands Damselfish......those will look superb in your reef! I really like your fish selections since you can mix it up so well....your not about just having ultra rare fish in the system you also care about coloration and how they with interact and reside in the aquarium.

I wish you the best of luck with the achilles tangs if anyone can attain the group of these fish I would wager it would be you...

Take Care,

Patrick

Hi Chingchai!

I notice you are using Profilux.. Can you tell us which functionalities of Profilux you are using?
I notice one router on the Profilux? Why you use it? and that box on router? what it is?

How you handle mains power off situations? Or overheating(in case if cooling device stops)?
You have some kind of alarm? SMS messaging or?

To be honest, Profilux is just like a toy for me.
I never take it seriously.
They measure PH, Salinity, ORP, Temperature.
That router is for my WI-FI.
This room is air-conditioning almost whole day(18 hour).
So in case my chiller is broken, my air-conditioner is still working.
I do have the alarm device.

Chingchai, what controller would you recommend over the profilux? I am looking into this technology now.

Hi Peter,
Your thread is so hot!
I am still following every step of it.
But not much knowledge to share. Sorry.
For the controller and monitor, Elos is the best one. But too expensive for me.

No no.. I don't mean security alarm.. for burglars..

I mean if you go for a short trip let say 2 days or more and it happens that electricity gone out for 12hours or more..
In that case you have some kind SMS messaging system that electricty is down for so long?

I don't need that kind of alarm.
My fish guy lives on the second floor of my fish room. He can take care of any problem.

Thanks Chingchai, that is exactly what I wanted........

Can you tell me how many times you turn your tank over per hour? The advice I am getting is that I need to turn mine over 15 to 20 times which would be somewhere around 25,000 gal per hour. That seems high to me but I know that you are turning over close to the same amount. So how much is your flow per hour?

Flow is one of the most important factor for SPS.
I got:
Wavebox x 4 = 23,244 g/h
Tunze 6305 x 8 = 63,400 g/h
Total = 86,644 g/h
Never seems too high for me.:D

Thank you my friend. This is very helpfull. I hope to have a document online soon that will describe what my flow archetecture will look like. I will look forward to your feedback when the information is available.....soon I hope.:wavehand:
