New Lights

I like the look of your new lights very much Chingchai. I have also a strong preference for the 14.5 K bulb from an aesthetic point of view. It will be interesting to get your feed back on any changes in coral growth rate after six months.

I like the new bulbs much better, you do not see the ''blue'' tint throughout the tank, much more natural look.
Did you remove any fish from the display tank?

No, I didn't remove any fish.
I took these pictures when the light just came out.
So they are still hiding.

Peter. Thanks.
So far coral reaction to this new bulb is very good.
I can see more polyp extension on SPS.
Hope the coral growth rate will be better. We'll see.

The golden hawkfish is wonderful!! Are you sure he wont eat the peppermint and cleaner shrimps though?

He does look small though in relation to the coral. your aquarium is truly an inspiration!

All i can say is this thread is amazing! I think pictures dont do justice so ill just have to come and see for myself : )

You are never adding trace elements, for example strontium?
So you just keep everything under control by water changing?
Not easy with such a large water volume!

People have their own way to maintain their tank.
So far I am happy with not adding any trace elements.
Thank you for your comment.
