I am going to run dual 175 watts metal halides... How high above the water level should they be to keep down on heating the water...

Anything else I should know...

Dream

Iwasaki 15000K. Has better par than alot of 250 watt bulbs and it aint yellow. Actually measures around 14000K. Never seen one but their reputation is excellent. Should be crisp white with a blue tint but like I said, never seen one lit. Only know of the reputation of this bulb.

I have been reading up on bulbs on most say that 10k are the best for color and growth when it comes to corals... I am not looking to put rare stuff in there just some acros, brain coral, carpet anemone, zoos, frogspawn, maybe a bubble, and a carnation... Whcih would be the best bulb....

Because 10000K generally has higher par that higher kelvin bulbs like 15000K and 20000K. But lower Kelvin bulbs have higher par still, with the cost being a yellow tank. But the Iwasaki 15000K is not a blue bulb, and it's high par rating is higher than most, if not all, 10000K 175 watt bulbs.
