dual mouthed paly?

Is this a common occurence?

Was poking around my tank, and noticed one of my boring brown polyps had 2 mouths. Didn't look like they could ever have been one?

I have a colony of no-namers that have 2 mouths and split into 2 palys unlike other specimens that grow mat. It's confirmation to me now when another reefer has seen the same thing. Look closer to see if anyother of the polyps are splitting at the polyp

I'll try and get a closer look tommorow. Have to actually have a 'discussion' with some green coraline if I want to get a pic

It happens, I've seen one or two of them, but I'd say it is uncommon.

I've had this happen a couple times to different polyps, don't remember what happend to them, maybe the other mouth disappeared or split into to.

Someone not too long ago posted some red hornets. One of the polyps had 2 mouths.

I have had the same thing happen to me a few times.I will do some digging for pics tonight.

still looks the same, other polyps have come in around it.once the camera is done charging I'll try to remember to get a pic tonight.
