Dual MP 40 placement question

Just setting up my new 90 and going to be transferring the stuff from my 57 rimless. I decided to grab another MP40 to go with mine now and plan to set them up as opposing master and slave units.

Tank is going to be a bare bottom.

My first question deals with the placement of the second unit. My thoughts are either on the back wall or the side opposite the master pump.

My second question deals with the height of the second unit regardless of where it is placed, Do I put it the same height or on the upper part of the water column or in the lower section of the water column.4

I do know there is no 100% this is the answer but if anyone has any past experience possibly with these placements I would love to hear the good and the bad.

I just purchased my second MP40 last night for my 90 gallon and I have the pumps placed on the opposite ends of the tank, at six inches below the water line. I also have the pumps offsett on each end about 4 inches and running them in sync mode.

Both of these pumps have replaced 4 Evolution 1400's, which my new flow pattern is amazing.

All I have to say about these pumps, they are worth every penny and I'm just waiting for the desktop version of Ecosmartlive to be released and I'll be all set.

On a site note, my 2 Hydra 52 upgrade packages will be arriving this Thursday and I should be set for awhile with any additional hardware for my tank.

Have a great day,
Randy
