Duncan Coral half dead

Hi Guys,

I have a 5 head Duncan Coral frag, which when I first put it in my tank 3 heads were eaten/died. I am trying to get the remaininh heads to recover but they aren't fully extending and they look a bit pale.
My question is should I break off the dead skeleton? Would it help?

The dead skeleton is just that - dead. Breaking it off won't make any difference one way or the other although you do run the risk of damaging it further by doing so.

More Info about your tank and perhaps a picture or two would help. Tank size, age, lighting, total flow, amount of live rock, other inhabitants, current parameters (and not "they're all good), etc. The more information you provide the better the chance that we can give you useful help.
