Mangodude

The Clown Tang Keeper!
Hey everyone, first time posting here.. just took this shot and really liked how it came out.. It's still not perfeft.. what's everyone's opinions on what I should change/do differently?

Camera is a kodak z981 14mp point and shoot. Not too bad consider the camera eh?

Looks pretty good to me, my only real question is what perfeft mean? ;)

I like the first one the most of the three provided.

I'd like to see the exposure just be slightly higher, if I were to make a change.

Thanks for the compliments! I haven't edited any of them yet so I will try adjusting the exposure and see how it comes out. By making it higher, you mean raise the speed and make the picture darker or lower the speed and make the pic lighter? Sorry, i'm not thinking tonight.. :crazy1:

Making the picture lighter, either by higher ISO, slower shutter speed, bigger aperture (smaller number) or a combination of all 3.

I think you might get a little more detail out of the polyps with a little brighter exposure.

Ok, thanks, I'll try that! :)

Wow Mangodude those are some amazing shots! What kind of camera are you using if you don't mind me asking?

I don't mind the questions! :)

Its a kodak z981 camera. Its just a point and shoot sort of camera. It has some pretty nice manual settings too (what I use). It's 14mp so the clarity is good. It claims to have 26x optical zoom but it really won't work that zoomed in and still be clear. For the shots above, I had to use a large magnifying lense, I placed it a few inches from my camera to make a make-shift DSLR lense of sorts! Haha

No editing was done but I want to play around with photoshop this weekend and see if they can come out better... :hammer:

Since you put it in your signature, what types of corals you have? ;)
