Duncan coral reproduction?

I was just wondering if anyone has had the duncan coral ever send out gametes into the water column in their tanks? I was just looking at my fish tank and the coral is situated on the right side of the tank close to a vortech powerhead. I was looking at the left side of the tank when all of a sudden what at the time i thought was air bubbles or sand was shot from the right side of the tank. Upon closer look it looked like perfect round balls and my fish were going nuts eating them. I believed that the gametes were from an acro colony I had but I went to lay down by the tank and check out what happens. About 5 minutes later I noticed a large, maybe a pinky fingernail sized ball mass of bluish gametes. It got sucked up into the vortech and got shot around the tank, the same size of the other gametes/eggs I saw earlier. Now I know that acros would not be able to push out that big of a mass of eggs and the only other coral that would be able to push it out would be my smaller colony Duncan coral. Has anyone else had a similar experience with duncan corals? The only other thing that would be able to shoot out gametes would be my pair of yellow watchmen gobies, but they have not been acting like they have been mating, and i thought they form more of a sticky ball of eggs? Any info would be appreciated :)

I have seen pictures of a duncan literally dropping a piece of flesh that turned into a baby head.

ive never seen that before but little buds have been popping out from the base of the larger polyps and growing fairly fast. But what about sending out gametes?

i have had my ducan for 2 months. It was one head when i bought it, now it has 5 heads. I noticed this morning it has spread . I now have 5 different tiny heads on a old dead coral that is beside my big duncan. Very cool, they are capabule of propagating.
