Duncan placement

I want to place my new 2 headed duncan coral low in my 120 gallon but was wondering if i can attach it to a rock sideways so it won't be straight up and down. Is this ok or do the heads need to be facing the lights.

I have had Duncans almost all over my tank. I have found that placing them upright between two pieces of rock, so that the coral is up and down, is best. Extending them from the rock sideways may cause one of the heads to shade another so that it does not get adequate light. Regardless, I would place it where you can feed it. Mine love to eat mysis shrimp.
