Dutch Royalty Reef

I am no expert in biopellets use, i have used it before, but i worked te slow for my purpose so i got rid of it.
I believe in direct control.

Watch my sump it won't get simpler than that.

Hımmm... I like as well direct control but... I am depended because of my traveling '' to much '' yes I have every week a person coming from the lfs but I am still afraid that something go wrong. My corals are looking good and get better and better their collor. Tank is still very young.
I am depended on much as possible auto control.

I understand, in tha case leaf the biopellet in and manuel dose po4 and no3 each time you measure.
After a while you may find a routine that work for you.

And here an quick overview film about the tank.
Sorry for the text in the movie but this was my own mistake. Their is a new movie coming in good quality and true colours.
Now the colours look faded but in reality it is bright and some corals look darker than what they really are.

Its just to show how the system looks now after 5 months running with KZ products and biopellet reactor.

Parameters are still good after some adjustments in ca, mg and kh.

I have halved my quantity of biopellets in my reactor. I am suffering that I can't get my NO# and PO4 to the level I want even with heavy feeding of frozen and protein full food.
So today I halved my amount of biopellets. Hoop this will improve.

I dose amino acide etc etc from KZ but i can see that some of my corals start to bleach from the feet. They are starving.
Hope this will give positive impact on my corals.

looking great.

In the sump I added a blue led strip that go on and off by opening and closing the door. When I need to see better I can manually open the white LEDs as well.

Not sure if this has been mentioned or changed....
Wity your dosing jugs ABOVE your sump level, they can siphon all your solution.

I have the bubble magus doser (one very similiar or the same as you) and setup once just like you( jugs above sump). The head popped off one day and thus allowed the solution to back siphon since the tube wasn't pinched. Luckily I don't keep a ton of extra solution in the jugs. But I still had one heck of a snow storm and some effort clearing the tank and freaking out for a few days wondering if all my sps were gonna pull thru. I couldn't see more than 2-3 inches into the tank!! On a happy note everyone made it fine. I let it settle back top norm very slowly! 250g sps dominate reef fairly mature too.

I put the just one the ground or below sump level and no more worries of back siphon.
