Dwarf Angel options

Im trying to figure out how I'm going to stock my 34g Solana. Ive always wanted a dwarf angel.

Would either a Cherub or Flameback be an option? I plan to have an automatic feeder going everyday to try and reduce the possibility of nipping coral.

I was going to get a Scooter or Tailspot Blenny, possibly an Angel, maybe a Flasher/Fairy Wrasse, and maybe one other fish.

I think the cherub/Argi or the Flameback are perfect. The Argi is my favorite angel of all time and they are very hardy. They can become territorial as well though and harass any newcomers. I would save it as the last fish introduced. You can try the fisher angel as well, not as brightly colored but I like them for their personality as well as their tendencies to be the most reef safe option as well as the other 2 angels mentioned.

My vote would definitely be on the flameback, they are so cute. I have one in QT right now

I've heard that Cherubs can be aggressive. I'm trying to have a somewhat passive nano. Would a Flameback be a better option? What is there maximum size?

I can't answer on aggression of my flameback yet, but I am pretty sure in a tank that size you will want to make sure the angel is added last as they probably would show aggression towards any new tank mates added after

Ive narrowed it down to at least one Blenny (probably a Tailspot to make the tank look bigger) maybe a Fairy or Flasher Wrasse, and possibly a Cherub or Flameback Angel.

Any suggestions or opinions?

I love my Cherub angel pair.. They have great character and are very interesting to watch.. They've become quite the pigs as well

If I had to choose though, I would go with the flameback because they are more appealing IMO.

As far as the blenny, I also have a Starry Blenny and he is a model citizen. He is either swimming back and fourth in front of the glass wanting food, or perching around the tank in odd places.. He is also a decent algae eater which is never a bad thing!

Many wrasses need some decent swimming room and I'm sure one would be okay depending on the selection.. But if you wanted to go the safe route, Possum Wrasses are very unique. They are a shy fish though IME.

Ive always wanted a dwarf angel but Im just afraid to pull the trigger due to aggresion and possible coral nipping.

Any other suggestions? Not a fan of Carnials, typical clown pair, or Damsels.

If you go with a wrasse make it a flasher, they stay smaller, but your tank is on the small side for one. They like to jet around, mine cover my 4' tank in a blink of an eye. A sunburst anthias doesn't need a lot of room, they kinda just hang out. A royal gramma would fit the bill as well.

Don't be afraid, if you add the flameback last, you should not have any aggression from him

Would a Flameback be a better option over a Cherub? Ive read Cherubs have either been model citizens or complete tyrants.

My flasher is always out swimming around, I actually have two flashers and several other wrasses, they all stay out swimming around. They are very active fish. I have never had any cherub or flame backs pick at corals. I currently have a cherub in my reef, so far so good. I had the last one for 3 years in my tank without issue, with a Flameback as well with no issues as far as corals go. I lost both when I had a heater fail when they were in a holding tank during an upgrade. I also had a cherub about 12 years ago, that one was almost 7 years old, but I sld it when I was moving and I broke down my tanks, no coral issues with that one either, but that one was a nasty little fish.
