Dwarf Lion Question

I bought a Fuzzy Dwarf Lion today and my LFS told me they do not get ich really. I have him QT'd anyways of course because Im sure they can and I know they can at least carry it. Is my LFS right though, do they have some kind of high tolerance and are not quick to get ich?

He will be QT'd for the next few weeks regardless but I just wanted to find out.

any fish can get ich. lions tend to be pretty hardy, but they can still get diseased due to stress, poor water quality, malnutrition. you've done the right thing by putting it in QT.

also, a fish that is hardy can still CARRY a disease and pass it to other fish. always best to stabilize a new fish in QT, and treat if necessary.
