Dwarf Lionfish

Hello,

I recently purchased a dwarf lion and he has not been eating at all. I initially bought some live ghost shrimp and he ate 1-2. I've been trying to get him to eat frozen prawn but he just looks at it and swims away. He ate it once but hasn't touched it since. I want to keep him on frozen food. Should I try another type of food? Starvation method? More live food?

Well ideally I don't want to starve nor kill the fish thats why I'm asking for advice on feeding. I'm prepared to feed it live if need be but was looking for an alternative or ideal frozen food of choice.

Sorry if I sounded snippy, I rescued my 1st fuzzy dwarf from an lfs that was starving him to death. I've been keeping them about 3 years now. First you have to try something that looks whole and alive, like PE mysis or jumbo mysis, they are larger and white. Mine will not even consider somethink pink like krill, somehow they know it's dead. Once it starts to eat prepared you may have luck with other things and even chunks of shrimp, squid and the likes. You need to get him to eat until you see a little bulge in the belly, not just a couple of tidbits. These guys are used to gorging then not eating for a couple few days. I was at a lfs when a guy was telling the owner about his lion dying, and by chance he was doing the starvation method when he died.
