I am thinking of setting a tank up for one of these guys and wanted to hear some feed back on anyone who has in the past and maybe give me some advice. I will start by saying what I plan on housing it with and with what equipment.

You would need to weigh the lid down and I'm not familiar with the built-in filter system, but I'm sure it could crawl in there. On octopus can fit in any hole the size of its beak, and don't forget that octopus are incredibly strong for their size, so unless you have any rockwork super glued like crazy it would probably knock it down, maybe even accidentally on itself

Seal the top, so they can’t escape.
Cover the pump intakes with sponge so they don’t get sucked in and killed.
Find a place that will get you a baby so you get the full one year life span. Costs more but if it only lives a year you don’t want a 11month old one.

I had one. It lived 11months and was one of the best pets I ever had.
