Dwarf Ponies

I just got a small group (16) of dwarf Atlantic horses. They are eating well for me on rotifers, BBS, 4th instar pods, and whatever peppermint shrimp larvae end up in the tank.

Does anyone here have any success on keeping these guys alive for more than a year. In the past they ate well and put on girth, but never made it past a year. I also wanted to try my hand at breeding too.....any suggestions??
thanks

I believe wild caught dwarfs only live 1 - 2 years on average. I'd guess most are already 6 months old or so when caught..... so keeping them a year would be their normal life span IMO.
