Dwarf Seahorse idea

I have a spare 10 gal tank lying around, and was trying to think of a way to use it for a dwarf seahorse tank. My idea is to divide the tank into two parts (5 gal each) using black acrylic sheet. I will make the back part a sump, for filtration, and fuge for the raising of pods, and set up a brine shrimp hatchery. I will use the remaining front part of the tank for the seahorses. I have several pounds of dry base rock laying around to use in the tank. Does this plan sound ok? It is still just a thought, I am not sure if it will really work. Any ideas would be appreciated. As a first dwarf seahorse tank, I'd really suggest keeping it simple. I personally do not like divided tanks at all. Using them really cuts down on the flow in the seahorse section and algae problems are common. Mainly because the holes in the divider must be extremely small or any fry will find their way into the equipment side.

It would be easier to just set up a 10 gal tank using the base rock and sand and letting the tank cycle as you would any other tank.

Since copepods (NOT amphipods) are a good food source, you could either culture them in a seperate bucket or add Reef Pods every few weeks to the tank as a treat and to repopulate the tank.

Your idea WILL work, however, divided tanks are really more trouble than they are worth when it comes to dwarf seahorses IMO.
