about 50, easily. one of the things to consider in a zot tank is food density. since zots are lazy and prefer to spend their time hitched and waiting for a snack to swim or crawl by, feeding time needs to look like it's "snowing" in the tank.

BTW, you may or may not know this, but zots only eat live food, such as BBS or copepods, so you'll need to be prepared to hatch BBS daily or start a copepod culture to feed them.

additionally, your NC probably runs a bit too warm for SH...the temp should really be < 75*F even for tropicals, as SH have a propensity to develop bacterial infections, and at 75*F, the bacterial count in a closed system goes thru the roof.

you'll also need to drop the flow down a bit so the zots don't get blown all over the place.

helps alot...thanks

what would you recommend for the return pump for the nano cube?
maxijet 400,600,900.1200.....I have a 1200 and I could build a manifold with 90's and such and cut the flow down on it.....what specific gravity do they like best? I signed up for seahorse.org forum last night and started reading. is it bascially keeping reef tank chemistery at a lower temp level?

purty much.

flow should just be bentle enough to keep the food and suspended particulate in suspension long enough to be picked up by filters.

just remember dwarf sea horses can only swim 1/2=1/4 inch per second, and thats realy booking it!

that tank is pretty big, you will need to feed loads of food.

may want to adda refugium, imo, and probably a small chiller/heater all in one unit.

good luck, hope you are succesful, and you have millions of babies!

my only concern with the filtration and maxi jet is that they could get stuck in the intakes. Babies would DEF get sucked in...
