Can I get some advice about dwarf seahorses that are not tank raised? I am thinking about getting 3 couples to put into my 14 gallon nano but not sure how difficult it will be to get them to eat.
Dwarfs, wild caught or captive bred, don't eat anything but live foods. Occasionally there have been reports of captive bred dwarfs eating frozen but they won't keep doing it for long.
There is an excellent thread going on the org re dwarf feeding right now but you have to join to view it. http://forum.seahorse.org/index.php?showtopic=43014
over here in the uk all our dwarves are tank bred.we fed a mix of enriched artemia and copepods.i would imagine the wild caught would eat the same ,the biggest difference i think to the british tank bred and the usa wild caught is a matter of worms and parasites and we pay about $100 each for our dwarves.there is a lady over here that started with 2 and now has over 80 that she has bred from them.
