dwarf zebra lionfish ?

I don't think they are reef safe as they are an agressive fish. But I too would like to get a lionfish (if possible) so I will look forward to the more "expert" response as I am a beginner in this hobby... :)

well............... sure they are reef safe - as long as there are no other fish! lol they will eat anything they think they might be able to swallow

Agree with above except they will try to swallow fish that are too big often resulting in their death. No issue with corals, however.

Snorvich is right, they will commit suicide trying to eat fish they can't swallow. They are also liable to overeat until they die if you put too many food fish in the tank. That said, they aren't particularly good at chasing down fast fish like damsels, and if you don't feed them something that is pretty slow you can even starve them to death. Despite all the above, I've found them to be finicky eaters. They are beautiful tank residents, though.

Cheers,

Don
