dyed anemone? how can you tell?

So I have been reading alot of posts saying "that anemone is dyed" call me a novice but how can you tell? and curious as well as to how an anemone is dyed?

(1) the entire anemone is a uniform color

(2) the color is not found in the wild for that species of anemone

Most common examples are brilliant yellow or pink sebae anemones.

Years back when I was new to the hobby, I received a dyed anemone. It was a magenta colored LTA. After a few hours in my tank, my Euroreef skimmer was pulling out pink skimmate.
