dyed corals/anemones

i was wondering if there was a sure way to determine if a coral or anemone has been dyed. i was looking at ebay at some corals and one guy has different types of leathers and they almost all are pink. i havent seen a pink before and dont want a dyed coral/anemone.

any sure way to tell?

I would avoid that one. Looks dyed.

thats what i was thinkin, even more so that they have several other softies that are pink, is there a sure way to tell?

it's dyed if the entire anemone is the same color or if it looks really unnatural. usually the tips are brighter or a different color from the body or foot

I imagine you'd have to be familiar with the natural colors of it to know. I bought a dyed cabbage leather years ago. My skimmer went crazy and I had pink skim mate for weeks.

I saw a diving program that showed closeup's of brilliant colored corals in the wild in Figi. Looked like they showed pink as one of them!
