dying firefish

I've had a pair purple fish for atleast 6 month now. The past week or so one of them looks like he's on his way out. He got real skinny and fins started to deteriorate. All other tank inhabitants are fine and water params are good. He was alway the shy one so I thought it might be malnutrition so I've been target feeding with hearty frozen foods. He still eats but will then go lay under a rock in the back for days. Anyone have some advise?

Sounds like he is being intimidated by the other firefish (or possibly some other fish).

IF this is the case would it be a good idea to put him in the fuge till he regains strength? Would he be ok in the main chamber and not get swept into the pump chamber?
