Dying GBTA

So the anemone didn't end up splitting it sure did look like it though. It had been eight days since I fed the anemone and I have been doing more water changes lately. I would not say that it looks any better but it hasn't gotten worse. I'll keep you guys updated!

Thanks for the update! I'm glad it doesn't look worse. It's true about the sudden change in light making them close. My RBTA closes everytime the lights go off too. But he stopped moving around a few days after he was put in the tank and he found his "spot".

I have turned off the thunderstorm feature on my light just because I have it on a stupid setting and I think that is why my GBTA was closing so much. The anemone weirdly looks good at night, never bubbled but better than day time. this morning when I checked the anemone the tentacles were very skinny and sucked in kind of laying flat on the anemone. anyone have an input on this?

My gbta did not split either, even though it started to have two mouths, guess its back to just one but got a little bigger. Hope mine will be ok as well.

It has been 13 days since my first post on here asking for help. I am going to go ahead and feed my anemone tonight. I have gotten my nitrates down and the anemone seems to be doing better. For whatever reason I don't know if its me or whatever but the anemone seems to look its best at night. Ill keep this thread updated and hopefully this anemone makes a recovery!

You could try a thin sliver of raw Salmon or Tuna to start off, better than Mysis. Do you have any other inverts in your tank? Interesting why the best appearance is at night, not sure about that.

Alright I will try something meaty, and I have one cleaner shrimp and one blue leg hermit crab.

Well I came home to this today, this does not look good.

Did you feed it? I'm wondering if your cleaner shrimp may be annoying the poor thing, possibly trying to steal the meal from the nem. Do you feed the cleaner shrimp?

The cleaner shrimp is quite the food hog. I usually feed the shrimp first and then the anemone and then I sit there and fend for the anemone and make sure it can eat its whole meal. I still need to go an get a meaty meal for the anemone.

I just leave my gbta alone and so far is she is doing ok i guess, its opening up and has its color not bleached anymore. My rbta and rainbow are all doing great.

So this is my anemone at night. The first picture is obviously my lights at night and then the second picture I cranked up my lights for a few seconds to get a better picture. My anemone never looks like this during the day, only at night.
at night my blue and ultra blue lights are at 2% and during the day my UV is at 45% blues and white 50% and my green and red are at 5%

The anemone is open more and more now. The color isn't quite right but I think that's because of the damage that has been done. I might look into doing some zooxanthellae transplants maybe that will help.
