dying open brain

hi there!
I have brought a new open brain to my aquarium last weak, which does not seem to cope well with its new home. the soft living part is reducing and now in some parts, the skeleton is visible from the above.
The nitrate level is at about 30, nitrite and ammonia about zero, salinity 1.023, pH8, 28C temp.

A picture would help. How did you acclimatize it? Your nitrates are too high. I would lower it with water changes. What is your alkalinity and PO4? Also flow is important and lighting. If you can also get your magnesium and calcium checked.

as I saw last nigth the soft part of coral was appeared not good as when i bougth it,but skelton was disappeared. so i was tryig to feed it with shrimp and granol food of fish. i put the food with syringe but i did not see that it ate the food. I turned off wave maker during feefing time and one houre after it. i used 3branch of 36 wat led ligth with one blue ligth and one cool and one warm white.the coral was at the depth of obout 50 cm from ligth and led are about 10cm obove the water line.at the begining I tryied to place the coral above the sands on bottom of tank but some fishes spreaed sand on it so i placed it on live rock at the depth which i told. at this morning after one houre that i turned on blue ligth i saw that the soft part of coral was shrinking and i guess if i turne all of ligth on, soft part of coral was disappearing wore last day and this condition lead to death of coral.

this picture showes better condition of my open brain coral than the condition i saw yesterday. but you can the skelton and more of soft part of coral was disappeard again!

raise your salinity over the course of a couple days to 1.025, otherwise from my own experience all coral in the tank will eventually turn and die slowly. The calibration on my refractometer was off and my tank was at 1.023, all car were slowly declining, i moved it up to 1.025-1.026 and they all came back around.

As is the case with all stony corals, appropriate levels of alkalinity, calcium and magnesium are vital to their survival. If you know temperature and salinity are good, I would examine the concentrations of those for starters.
