Hello everyone,
I hope I am posting this in the right place. I think I'm having a Starfish problem one of his legs seems to have died and doesn't stick onto the glass. The star is about the size of a 50 cent piece. Does anyone have any suggestions what this could be? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
TY

No pic of a starfish anyway. What kind of starfish is it? How old is your tank? And what size tank?

Sounds like it is starving to death

This is a up close picture of what he used to look like before the issue started happening. Maybe someone knows what kind of star it is, I do not.

I have a 20 gallon tank thats about 4 months old from cycle. I do also have a blue hermit crab and 2 red ones

Any help would be great thanks guys

It doesn't look bad in that pic..Have you been hand feeding it anything ?
If not start giving it a little krill, scallops ,table shrimp ,,stuff like that..

Starfish are notorious for starving to death in aquariums. They're very hard to keep long term. When their legs start dying like that, that's the first indication they are starving..
Another way to tell is to turn it upside down on it's back, if it's healthy it should be able to turn itself over with ease. If it struggles to turn right side up it's health is on the decline.
