Ive got a 24"cube..I was considering a Sol..but Im not sure Im going to get coverage with one unit..and thats where my budget ends. I like the AquaBEam but I cant find many reviews of this product and Im unsure of what Id need for coverage too.

Any reccommendations welcome.

Chinese junk! And you think they will honor that 3 year warrantee? Stick with AI Sol. American products Are safer, built much better and they will honor the warrantee id need be..........

It always amuses me how people can make such comments not knowing that majority of the parts in most of their equipment are probably made in China. I just got my Radions in. Guess what it says on the box, "Assembled in the USA". It would be a safe bet that the majority of this fixture was imported.

funny thing is when i made my last computer all the good stuff came from china, and if it was made in the here it was junk. it just depends on what you are talking about.

Has anyone ordered their 4g line here?

Me and two friends are ordering the 4G line later this week. We are going with the Bridgelux and Epistar LEDs because of the variety of colors available. We are getting a mixture of neutral white/royal blue with some Red and UV added in to fill out the spectrum more. The CREE offer only cool white and royal blue. We already have the old 60W CREE fixtures and therefore already have the cool white/royal blue. Mixing all together should help give a more complete spectrum. By the way, all CREE LEDs now available from EShine are 20% brighter than the old line. Here is a quote from them explaining :"As we use 4G construction to update 3G CREE 60W, that's why new 60W is brighter. and new CREE 60W with 90degree optics is brighter than 3G CREE 60W with 80 degree." If you can understand that???

Let us know how the bridgelux compare with the crees. Will you be running the 4 G in the center of the tank and then two 60 watt crees on both sides?

I already have three 60W CREE LED fixtures equally spaced over my 180. I will be moving these slightly forward and adding the new 4G fixtures behind the 60W CREEs. So, equally spaced over my 180 will be one 60W CREE in front and one 4G behind. The 4G fixtures will be over my rock wall and corals and the 60W CREE over the lower part of my rock wall and sand bed.

I wish these be linked together like the AI sols so you're only using two power cords for multiple units? I guess the downside if you have a bigger tank is plugging in all the extra cords. Is there any problem with connecting the power cords together before plugging them in with an adaptor?

anyone in for a group by to save on shipping? im leaning towards getting the 2 aquamasters, and a 2 36x3w for a 100 gallon

I've had the 3g 25 led Bridgelux version since September and haven't had any complaints. Shipping was fast and it was packed great. I've been keeping LPS on the bottom of a 20H with no problems.

So I have a 96x18x18, how many of which do you guys think would be the best for me? 4 of the 4G 36x3w? Seems like everything I have read about these lights is good.

I have the Aquamasters and I really like the fixture. I have it over my 65g yes its to small. I got for me 24x24x24 cube but now I want to try the 60w cree classics for my 65g

I've got two of the 4G Crees on my 5x2x2 tank- just about perfect coverage. For a 96" I think 3 fixtures would give you good coverage for a tank of mixed corals. In other words, room for lower light stuff and room for SPS. If it's all high light corals 4 fixtures might be called for. If it were me and I was doing all SPS I'd get 3 fixtures and see how it looks for a month or so before buying a third.
Anyhow- just wanted to chime in and say Robin is good about taking care of the customers. Sometimes a short delay in response time to emails because of the massive time difference but shipping was as fast as I could expect and everything arrived in good working order. Dimmer/controller and hanging hardware all work just fine.
I had 3x250w metal halides with Lumenarc reflectors and surprising to me is the fact that my LPS corals never had a hiccup in acclimating to the new lighting but some of the acros did. Birdsnest did not fair well and a couple others but the euphyllias, cynarina, clams, mushrooms and fox coral never showed any reaction at all. Neither did the purple long tentacle anemone down on the sand.
