Earlei Wrasse a Reality

Well some of you know that I am kind of a wrasse fanatic. My Holy Grail of Wrasses have always been the Earlei. After some help from Chingchai the world class SPS keeper, putting me in contact with Koji Wada of Blue Harbor Aquariums in Japan I have a Trio of Earlei Wrasses sitting in Hawaii with the wholesaler I used to receive these fish into the USA. They arrived in good health on Friday morning and are now resting up for the trip to Nebraska on Monday. I won't go into a lot of detail for now but will have a link to my article on my local reef clubs sight once they arrive in Omaha Tuesday morning. I was hoping to keep it secret until they got here but, I COULDN"T TAKE IT ANYMORE:rollface:. I have chronicled the whole journey and many pics to share early this week. Here is a pic just before they were bagged in Japan. I will have more updates when they arrive.

Awsome Jim. The cats out of the bag now. LOL Can't wait to see them.

It was just to hard to keep it a secret....if I hadn't spilled the beans your inbox would have been full of me giving you hourly updates...."Bradley, its 9:00pm central standard time, I haven't heard anything in several hours, do you think the wrasses are fine?" Bradley its now 9:15, still no news I hope everything OK, Bradley, its 9:30 I hope they're not scared, I'll let you know if Hear anything...better check you messages at 12, 1,3 and 4 to be sure" Or something like that. It takes a true Wrasse nut to understand my anxiety:lol:

the one on the left is TINY!

The broker says the Male is just over 2", one female is just under 2" and one female is very small. They will have 240 gallons to swim in with only a Tanaka Possum Wrasse and Naokae Wrasse and Lawnmower Blenny as tank mates. All my other Wrasses are in the 620 and 90 in the basement.

can you comment on what the angels were? no need to say who they're going to, just curious what they are! and congrats on the purchase, they're absolutely beautiful. I'm sure you'll enjoy them!

Great pickup!

I asked for pics of the process of pulling and bagging my fish and when he sent pics he's said these are my fishes shipping companions and that I was getting a great scoop :) I am no Angel guy so I can only assume from what I have found out that these are pretty sought after.
