Early Spring Bloom

That last one does it for me. Very nice. Love the backlit glow, the long finger like form and wide aspect ratio for this subject.

please do Scott..

Thank you for the thoughtful comments Ken.

surely someone else out there has access to something in bloom??? maybe....??

yet another...
I think I should move on to find some new subjects! These are in my direct line of sight on a regular basis, so thats probably why I took a few dozen shots of them. Oh and this was in between some showers....I didnt spray this.. ;)

Thanks rocketlily. Go ahead and please post!

-For all of you who don't have anything in bloom yet, feel free to post some winter shots- I think it will be an interesting contrast to some spring colors.

 Those are great- that last one is especially beautiful! I love the wheel and the smooth texture of the snow. Thanks for sharing.

Had just gotten my camera and was trying to figure out the way it worked!

Love the dandelion. Kind of makes me wonder they were here now. The colors of the last flower look amazing against the green background. Oh, what I would give to see a flower in the yard right now. It was -40 this morning.

Thanks for posting Ken! I knew someone would help me out here..

Cool photos Rick, I like the shallow DOF on the dandelion and the black/red colors of your last shot. Thank you for sharing.

I haven't been shooting much OT stuff recently and had to really dig to find this thread! I like this image and thought I should share it.

Great bee shot MBZ! Love the colors.

The stuff on the left most 1/2" is distracting for me. I might have cropped it out.
